The Victorian Food Act 1984 requires that all businesses requiring registration under this Act are inspected for compliance at least once every calendar year. The result reflects an increase in Council's diligence to satisfy the legislative requirements under the Act. Food premises that were not inspected within the calendar year have since been inspected as a priority.
