Port Phillip City Council Says...

The increased costs of our statutory planning serice was predominantly due to the increase in permanent specialist planning positions and senior planners dedicated to dealing with Fishermans Bend Urban Renewal Area to expedite Miniterial referrals. We also received less applications compared to previous years and resulted in the measure being over our target of less than $2,200.00.

The overall result has decreased, however when we include mediated and withdrawn outcome Council decisions upheld at VCAT is 83.3 per cent, which is a minor increase from last year. The result was below our annual target of 80 per cent.
