Although a Councillor's role is largely voluntary, they receive an allowance within the limits set by the Victorian Government. It is also appropriate that allowable expenses incurred are reimbursed whilst undertaking Council duties. This cost reflects both Councillor allowances and reimbursements for the period. Council's participation in the 2019 Community Satisfaction Survey showed no change in community satisfaction rating with the way Council has performed in making decisions in the interests of the community. Council has performed six points higher than large rural average and three points higher compared to state-wide average.
